Projekt ALGAE SERVICE for LIFE!
Instytut Ochrony Przyrody Polskiej Akademii Nauk w Krakowie wraz z 4 instytucjami litewskimi: Nature Research Centre Vilnius, Join Stock Company Baltic Environment, Nature Heritage Fund, Spila oraz Wydziałem Biologii i Chemii Uniwersytetu Adama Mickiewicza w Poznaniu realizuje innowacyjny projekt „Algae – Economy Based Ecological Service of Aquatic Ecosystems/ Glony – gospodarka ekologiczna” LIFE17ENV/LT/000407.
WODNE ŻNIWA. Połączenie nauki i aplikacji pomoże rozwiązać problem, jak wykorzystać biomasę sinic i makroglonów, aby polepszyć jakość wód oraz usług ekosystemowych. Projekt ALGAE SERVICE for LIFE zakłada opracowanie prototypów kombajnów zbierających biomasę sinic i glonów występujących masowo w silnie zeutrofizowanych rzekach, jeziorach, zatokach morskich i innych zbiornikach wodnych oraz przetworzenie biomasy na produkty wysokiej i niskiej jakości z możliwością wykorzystania przez ludzi.
Projekt został zaprezentowany podczas dnia informacyjnego LIFE, który odbył się 17 kwietnia 2019 r.
